MedX Toronto's 2016 March conference inaugurated at the University of Toronto, Medical Sciences Building on March 26th. Laura studied life sciences at Queen's University, and currently conducts research on children's health evaluation and health policy. Her motto in life is to experience as much as one possibly can. Her ultimate goal is to volunteer abroad, and contribute towards improving health care systems and health education in developing countries. Aside from studying science, she likes to read blogs about fashion and travel.

Marie Odhiambo
Conference Co-Chair
Marie is currently studying Life Sciences at University of Toronto Mississauga, with a Major in Psychology and Minors in Biology and Sociology. With an interest in the field of Clinical Psychology, she is extremely passionate about healthcare and health education on a scale larger than just physical health. She hopes to one day increase awareness for the importance of adequate care for mental health and related issues in her home country Kenya and similar African countries. She also has a passion for music, film and reading.

Drishti Thakkar
Conference Co-Chair
Drishti is a fourth year undergraduate student at University of Toronto studying Nutritional Sciences and Psychology. As an aspiring health professional and WHO ambassador, she is passionate about contributing to improve local and global health systems. Other than reading research papers and studying, Drishti spends her spare time writing on her blog and cooking delicious meals. She dreams of taking a solo world tour to taste the finest desserts across the world.
